Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) Instructor Training Support and Development II (ITSD II)

Provide training and leader development, develop concept, doctrine, organizations, life-long learning, and material solutions to provide sustainment with joint and expeditionary capabilities. The SCoE brings together these schools, and as a single organization is responsible for nearly all Army sustainment training, leader education, and associated combat developments. The Ordnance School trains in the fields of material maintenance and integrated material management, ground mobility material, logistics management (ammunition supply, maintenance, and life cycle), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), and combat support and combat service support tests. The Quartermaster School trains in the fields of supply, field services, aerial delivery, and mortuary affairs. The Transportation School trains in current and future Army transportation capability, Intermodal Operations, Maritime, and rail.

The ALU will become the lifelong learning center for Professional Military Education (Officer Education System, Warrant Officer Education System, and Noncommissioned Officer Education System), Civilian Education, and Joint, Multinational and Interagency education. Anticipated acquisition requires comprehensive Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) knowledge for the presentation of specific subject matter. This academic instruction includes platform and hands-on instructional in resident and field training environments based on POIs. Academic instruction includes but is not limited to classroom/laboratory/field/conference discussion, demonstration and practical and simulation exercises; includes administering written and performance hands-on based tests; and conducting critiques. Academic and training instructors must possess fundamentals on being an instructor. Indirect instructional classroom and student support includes preparing classrooms and equipment for training; retrieving course documents, preparing training materials for instruction; performing remedial training support; assisting with administration functions associated with in processing, graduating, and recording grades of students; conducting counseling; grading examinations; and evaluating student performance; and maintaining classroom control.
