Region 2 Vegetation Management Services IDIQ

Provide vegetation treatment in the Rocky Mountain Region for the purpose of reducing the risk of wildfires and to meet silvicultural objectives on all Region 2 National Forests and Grasslands. Project areas are reforested areas, natural and managed stands of timber of all ages, size, and species, shrub fields, or grass areas.
Fuels will consist of harvest activity slash, natural fuels, live fuels, and slashed shrubs and trees. The work will involve tasks such as manual thinning, lop and scatter, pruning, girdling, manual piling, pile covering, hand constructed fireline, hazard tree felling, fuels pullback, mechanical thinning, chipping, mastication, mowing, mechanical piling, yarding and/or decking or hauling (forwarding), mechanical fireline construction, mechanical site preparation, road closing.
