Description

Provide USAID with the means to implement programs that assist with: (1) preventing the outbreak, escalation, or recurrence of conflict and violence; (2) promoting peaceful, resilient societies; (3) adapting USAID's traditional development work to account for its effects on conflicts; and (4) expanding USAID’s peacebuilding and stabilization capabilities. The goal is to improve development outcomes in fragile, conflict or violence-affected countries.

Activities are expected to be designed with a conflict sensitive lens while falling within one or more of the often overlapping and interrelated technical areas that include:
* Fragility;
* Conflict prevention and peacebuilding;
* Crime and violence prevention;
* Preventing and countering violent extremism (PVE and CVE);
* Stabilization;
* Women, Peace and Security (WPS);
* Youth, Peace and Security (YPS);
* Justice, rights and security including assistance to civilian police and disengagement and
reintegration (D&R) of armed groups or affiliates;
* Atrocity Prevention (AP);
* Countering disinformation and hate speech;
* Environment, natural resources conflicts, and climate security;
* Natural resource trafficking and related crimes; and
* Conflict integration
