Sub Description
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) ACCURINT SUBSCRIPTION PROJECT WILL PROVIDE FUNDS TO CONTINUE A SUBSCRIPTION FOR COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DATA. THIS DATA PROVIDES INFORMATION TO SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE THE INTELLIGENCE PRODUCT CREATED BY DPS ANALYSTS FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS. THE GRANT SUPPORTS A ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION TO LEXIS/NEXUS ACCURINT, WHICH IS USED BY THE FUSION CENTER PERSONNEL TO SUPPORT HOMELAND SECURITY INVESTIGATIONS ACROSS THE STATE AND NATION. THE PROJECT, A CONTINUATION OF PREVIOUS EFFORTS, WILL DIRECTLY SUSTAIN INTELLIGENCE AND INFORMATION SHARING AND CONTRIBUTE TO FEDERAL, STATEWIDE, REGIONAL, AND OTHER FUSION CENTER EFFORTS THROUGH ITS SHAREABLE RESOURCES. THIS PROJECT DIRECTLY ALIGNS WITH PERFORMANCE MEASURES 2019.2-10, 2019.16-20; ADDITIONALLY, THE PROJECT IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT MEASURES 2019.11-15. AS A RESULT OF THE ACCURINT PROJECT, REGIONAL REPORTING AND IN TURN, RESPONSE TO THREATS IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE IMPROVING BOTH IN QUALITY AND QUANTITY.
