Direct Award - Ancora Publishing Safe & Civil Schools

Background
The West Virginia Department of Education is issuing a Direct Award to Ancora Publishing for their Safe & Civil Schools program. This initiative aims to improve student behavior and attendance through research-backed strategies that emphasize prevention and early intervention, which are critical components of an effective Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).

The program seeks to foster a positive school climate, thereby reducing barriers to attendance and behavior by helping students feel more connected to their schools.

Work Details
The contract includes the provision of professional development services through Tier 1 and Tier 2 consultants. Specifically, the services include:
- Tier 1 Consultant: 1 day of professional development for $10,600, with additional consecutive days priced at $8,800 each.
- Tier 2 Consultant: 1 day of professional development for $8,600, with additional consecutive days priced at $6,800 each.

All presentations will require accompanying texts for participants, available through the Ancora Publishing Catalog with a 10% discount on purchases for training. Additional fees may apply for large group initiatives and virtual session recordings if in-person events are canceled.

Period of Performance
Service delivery will occur from November 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided in various locations within West Virginia as determined by the Department of Education.
