Kenosha County Brookside Care Center Windowsill Replacement

Background
The County of Kenosha, Wisconsin, through its Purchasing Division, is seeking bids to establish a contract for the replacement of existing windowsills in various rehabilitation and patient rooms at the Brookside Care Center located at 3506 Washington Road, Kenosha, WI 53144. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's infrastructure to better serve its residents.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Remove existing windowsills and necessary drywall, properly disposing of all debris (County-owned dumpsters cannot be used).
2. Install new Corian solid surface windowsills with a front edge, ensuring they are flush with the finished wall and applying caulking. The specified solid surface color is Sahara and caulk color is Bone.
3. Fill in sill voids with ½ plywood.
4. Wall painting will be conducted by the County.
5. Work will be phased; two rooms will be provided at a time for windowsill replacement activities, and all work in those rooms must be completed before starting on the next two rooms.
6. The awarded contractor must supply submittals for all products for approval by the County before work begins.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence immediately upon award and continue until project completion.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Brookside Care Center located at 3506 Washington Road, Kenosha, WI 53144.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
1. Must be an original manufacturer or authorized distributor/dealer for the products being installed.
2. Must provide references from three firms where similar services have been provided within the last five years to comparable institutions or companies.
3. Must have been in the business of windowsill replacement for at least five years. Additionally, bidders must complete a Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire to demonstrate legal authority to operate in Wisconsin.
