Background
The City of Reedsburg is seeking qualified contractors to provide a shared ride taxi service within a 15-mile radius of the city limits. This service aims to be accessible to all users, with discounted rates available for seniors, adults with disabilities, and children. The contract will be funded in part by federal grant money, specifically $141,243 from the 5311-CFDA 20.509 program.

Work Details
The contractor will provide door-to-door, demand-responsive, advanced reservation shared-ride taxi services available to the general public. The service must operate seven days a week during specified hours and accommodate disabled individuals. Key requirements include:

- A fleet of at least 5 vehicles (model year 2015 or newer) capable of carrying at least 3 passengers.
- An automated dispatch system staffed for 18 hours a day.
- Maintenance of records for vehicle trips, driver training, and complaints.
- Compliance with federal and state regulations regarding drug and alcohol testing.
- Service standards that include a passenger pick-up window of less than 30 minutes and assistance for disabled passengers.
- The contractor must maintain insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2025, and run through December 31, 2026, with options for three additional one-year renewals.
