Background
The University of Washington is seeking a Web Developer Consulting Company to enhance the UW Medicine Department of Bioethics and Humanities website. The goal is to modernize the site to better articulate the department's mission and impact, reflecting its status as a global leader in bioethics.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1) Conducting pre-build information gathering with department leadership and stakeholders to determine design priorities.

2) Generating at least two overall site design and messaging approaches for review.

3) Designing up to 12-page templates for the new site and uploading at least one page for each template.

4) Assisting with content generation and copywriting as needed.

5) Conducting SEO research and providing site architecture recommendations.

6) Editing client-provided photos or sourcing new ones.

7) Migrating existing Drupal content into WordPress templates.

8) Providing detailed training for department staff on content management.

9) Offering troubleshooting support during the site launch.

The site must be responsive, optimized for performance, meet security requirements, and allow easy future updates by the department team.

Period of Performance
The project is divided into three phases:

- Phase 1 (messaging development, site design, content generation) should be completed within 6-7 months from the start date (by June 2025).
- Phase 2 (data migration, staff training, testing) should be completed within 6 months after Phase 1 (by December 2025).
- Phase 3 (site go live and additional training) is expected by March 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place online, with potential hosting through UW IT or by the Contractor.
