Background
The Lexington Flood Control Zone District of Cowlitz County, Washington is issuing this contract for the installation of standby generators at the McCorkle Creek Pump Stations.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the operational reliability of the pump stations by providing backup power solutions through the installation of standby generators and associated equipment.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes:
- Installation of Owner supplied equipment consisting of a 350-kW standby generator unit with an integral subbase-mounted fuel tank in a weatherproof sound enclosure.
- Installation of Owner supplied equipment consisting of a 500-kW standby generator unit with an integral subbase-mounted fuel tank in a weatherproof sound enclosure.
- Installation of an Owner supplied 800-amp, 3-phase, 480-VAC automatic transfer switch (ATS) in a factory-provided enclosure.
- Moving both generator equipment packages and the ATS from their current locations at Cowlitz County Public Works Central Operations to the project locations.
- Site preparation including furnishing and installing import aggregate, reinforced concrete slabs, galvanized steel stairs, elevated walkways, railings, supports, framing, chain link fencing, and gates as specified in the drawings.
- Furnishing and installing electrical conductors and conduit to connect the 500-kW generator to the ATS and to connect the ATS to the existing stormwater pump station’s electrical system. This includes trenching and backfilling for conduit installation.
- Modifying an existing manual transfer switch (MTS) on another stormwater pump station to an automatic transfer switch (ATS) connected to the new 350-kW generator.
- Constructing electrical conduits across SR411 (West Side Highway), which will require traffic control measures and restoration of asphalt surfaces as specified.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed starting from May 19, 2025, following bid acceptance.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at McCorkle Creek Pump Stations located in Cowlitz County, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold or obtain necessary licenses and registrations as required by Washington State Statutes and Codes, as well as federal and local laws.
All work performed will be subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates.
