Background
The West Annandale Fire Station #23 - Temporary Facility project is initiated by the Department of Public Works and Environmental Services of Fairfax County, Virginia. The mission of this project is to renovate an existing structure to support fire station operations effectively.

The goal is to create a temporary facility that meets the operational needs of the fire station while maintaining safety and compliance with local regulations.

Work Details
The project involves the renovation of an existing 2,000 square foot commercial bank building, including site work and utility modifications. Additionally, a 1,000 square foot steel frame supported membrane structure will be added to serve as an apparatus bay.

The renovation will primarily focus on the interior space reconfiguration to support fire station operations. The existing exterior envelope, slab, and roof of the building will remain intact. The temporary apparatus bay will accommodate vehicles, gear lockers, laundry services, and an exercise area.

Period of Performance
The contract length is set for 213 calendar days from the date of award.
