Sussex Warehouse Storage Racks

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Corrections, is seeking to procure storage racking materials for Sussex State Prison 1 Warehouse. The goal of this contract is to provide and install new storage racking systems to replace existing broken, missing, or damaged shelves. This initiative aligns with the agency's mission to maintain secure and efficient facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide and install the following storage racking materials:
- **42 Step Beams**: 4.5” tall x 96” long, with a capacity of 5,000 lbs. UDL, colored orange. Each upright frame will be anchored to the floor with one concrete wedge anchor per footplate.
- **42 Wire Decks**: 42” deep x 46” long, with a capacity of 2,500 lbs. each, designed for pallet racking.
- **8 Uprights**: 42” deep x 192” tall, with a capacity of 22,000 lbs., colored green.
- **16 Anchors**: ½” concrete wedge metal anchors.
- Labor for the removal of existing racks and installation of new racks at Sussex State Prison 1. Excessive dust from drilling will be vacuumed; however, wiping down the racks post-installation is not included in the service. All costs must be included in the proposal grand total.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award. Completion is anticipated within a reasonable timeframe as specified by the contractor's stated delivery time after receipt of order (ARO).

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Sussex State Prison located at 24414 Musselwhite Road, Waverly, Virginia 23891.
