The purpose of this Quick Quote is to establish a contract with a qualified vendor to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to pressure wash, clean, and stain the outside of 15 cabins at Smith Mountain Lake State Park, 1235 State Park Road Huddleston, VA 24104.Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Visit and Meeting: A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11am. All interested bidders MUST be in attendance for the duration of the entire meeting and site visit. Contractors will need to sign in at the beginning and sign out when the visit has concluded. Meeting will start at the Park Office.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to pressure wash, clean, and stain the outside of the following cabins: 5-12, 14-20. The work includes:

A. Preparation:
a. Site Assessment: Inspect cabins’ exterior for damage requiring repair before cleaning or staining.
b. Protect Surroundings: Cover/move outdoor furniture, protect windows/doors from overspray, and use drop cloths for landscaping.

B. Power Washing:
a. Surface Cleaning: Apply a cleaning solution to break down contaminants before power washing.
b. Technique: Maintain appropriate pressure settings for different surfaces and ensure proper cleaning without damage.
c. Rinsing: Rinse off any remaining detergent after power washing.

C. Drying and Inspection:
a. Allow surfaces to dry thoroughly (24-48 hours) before applying stain.
b. Conduct a final inspection to ensure readiness for staining.

D. Staining:
- Apply two coats of Benjamin Moore Woodluxe Water Based Stain provided by the park, ensuring uniform coverage especially in detailed areas like corners and joints.

E. Clean Up: Remove all protective coverings and equipment after each cabin is completed.

F. Final Inspection: Conduct a walkthrough with park officials to confirm satisfactory completion.

Period of Performance
Work must commence no later than 30 calendar days after contract award and must be completed within 45 days of starting work.
