Signage and Installation for City of Fairfax Parks

Background
The City of Fairfax, Virginia, through its Office of Procurement Services, is seeking to establish a term contract for signage production and installation services specifically for the Parks and Recreation Department. This initiative follows an in-depth inventory conducted by a consultant to assess existing park signage, identify gaps, and enhance visitor navigation and experience within the parks. The goal is to create clear, engaging, and inclusive signage that fosters community pride and improves accessibility for all residents and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for producing, fabricating, assembling, and installing various signage products as specified in the IFB 87305 Parks Signage Guidelines. This includes:
- Creating prominent welcome signs at park entrances with vibrant graphics and clear maps.
- Developing navigational aids that include directional arrows to assist visitors in locating amenities.
- Installing dedicated bulletin boards and banners to inform the community about upcoming events and programs.
- Ensuring that all signage adheres to principles of inclusive design to accommodate all users.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for one year from the date of award, with options for renewal for four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within various parks located in the City of Fairfax, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be eVA registered and maintain active status. They must also provide proof of proper licensing for providing the specified goods/services. Additionally, contractors are required to have insurance coverage including Workers’ Compensation, Employer’s Liability, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability as specified in the solicitation.
