Roof Replacement at Public Safety Building ITB (2025030-PW-B)

Background
The City of Harrisonburg, Virginia is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to solicit sealed bids from qualified contractors for the replacement of the roof at the Public Safety Building located at 101 North Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.

The project aims to enhance the building's infrastructure by demolishing the existing ballast roof system and installing a new Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Membrane Roofing system, as outlined in the attached architectural plans. The completion date for this project is set for October 31, 2025.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Demolition of the existing ballast roof system.
2. Installation of a new Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Membrane Roofing system according to the specifications detailed in the architectural plans provided with this ITB.
3. Ensuring all work complies with applicable standards and specifications outlined in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence upon signing and work is expected to begin following the issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the City.

The project must be completed by October 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Public Safety Building located at 101 North Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be experienced contractors actively engaged in similar construction projects. They must provide evidence of a valid contractor's license and submit a bid security of 5% of the total bid value in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check, or bid bond.

Bidders must not be in default on any obligations to the City and must certify that they are not currently debarred from bidding on contracts by any agency of Virginia or federal agencies.
