RFP #R25252 Consulting Services Curriculum Audit

Background
The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) is seeking consulting services to review and audit its existing curricula. The purpose is to assess alignment with the LCPS Instructional Framework, clarity of quality instruction, and areas for improvement. LCPS serves approximately 84,000 students in over 100 facilities and is looking to ensure that its curricula support teachers with relevant, accessible, and usable resources.

Work Details
The contractor is required to conduct an audit of existing curricula for grades K-12 and analyze their alignment with the LCPS Instructional Framework. They will recommend steps for alignment, assess accessibility and usability for teachers, and provide recommendations for improvement. The review will cover various content areas such as Reading and Writing, English and Reading, Math, Science, Social Science and Global Studies, Fine Arts, Health and Physical Education, and World Languages and Cultures. Additionally, the contractor will facilitate work sessions based on schedules agreed upon with the LCPS leadership team. They will also provide a draft curriculum audit document, prepare a report outlining findings with recommendations, deliver a professional presentation for stakeholder groups, and make recommendations on making the curriculum more teacher-friendly and accessible.

Period of Performance
The initial period of the contract will be one year from the date of award with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. The completion of the project is expected no later than October 15, 2024.

Place of Performance
The services are to be performed at Loudoun County Public Schools facilities.
