RFP_Electric Vehicle Charging Stations_Northern Virginia Community College

Background
Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) is seeking a turnkey solution for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across five campuses. This initiative supports NVCC's sustainability goals and accommodates the increasing number of EV users among students, faculty, staff, and the public. It builds upon existing infrastructure at the Annandale Campus.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a comprehensive solution that includes equipment, software, networking, accessories, warranties, and delivery for EV charging stations at the following locations:

- Alexandria Campus: 2 chargers with infrastructure for 2 additional chargers
- Loudoun Campus: 2 chargers with infrastructure for 2 additional chargers
- Manassas Campus: 2 chargers with infrastructure for 2 additional chargers
- Medical Education Campus: 2 chargers with infrastructure for 2 additional chargers
- Woodbridge Campus: 2 chargers with infrastructure for 2 additional chargers
- Annandale Campus: Existing 4 chargers to be considered for expansion.

The contractor must conduct site assessments, evaluate existing electrical infrastructure, provide design and engineering guidance, supply ADA-compliant charging stations, ensure networked capabilities for remote monitoring and payment processing, and offer maintenance plans and warranties. Technical specifications include Level 2 or higher charging capacity with a minimum output of 7 kW and compatibility with common EV types (SAE J1772). Compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes is mandatory.

Period of Performance
The contract term is one year with four one-year renewal options or as negotiated.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed across five campuses of Northern Virginia Community College located in Northern Virginia.
