RFP 24002 Security Services - Unarmed

Background
The Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (CRHA) is seeking the services of a qualified, licensed security firm to provide unarmed security services at properties owned and/or managed by CRHA. The Authority was formed in 1954 to provide federally subsidized housing and housing assistance to low-income families within the City of Charlottesville, Virginia. The Agency owns and/or manages 337 units of Low-Income Public Housing, 76 Project Based Voucher Units, and 6 City Funded Voucher Units across eleven multi-family properties and three individual houses within the City of Charlottesville.

Work Details
The selected firm must provide unarmed security guard services primarily at Crescent Hall, with the possibility of additional services at other Authority developments. The services will be on a monthly basis, with hourly rates for unarmed guards. The contractor shall have the capability to provide standing guard and/or roving patrol (on-foot), unarmed, on various Authority developments and facilities, on certain days and times.
The contract will be for one year with four one-year option years at the Authority’s sole discretion. Security personnel must report to work on time and prepared to work. The contractor shall complete a detailed activity report and deliver copies of such to the Authority the next business day.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for one year with four one-year option years at the Authority’s sole discretion.

Place of Performance
The primary location for the security services will be at Crescent Hall, but the contractor may be required to provide services at other Authority developments as needed.
