RFP 24-25-088 Three-Phase Padmounted Transformers

Background
The City of Danville, Virginia, is seeking proposals for the procurement of three-phase padmounted transformers. The goal of this RFP is to secure the most advantageous pricing from manufacturers located in North America to support the city's utility operations.

The City is a municipal corporation and will only be liable for obligations under this agreement to the extent that funds are lawfully appropriated and available.

Work Details
The contractor will provide three-phase padmounted transformers with the following specifications:
- Self-cooled (OA), three-phase, 60 hertz, dead front primary units designed for outdoor conditions.
- KVA & Voltage Ratings: 45 KVA through 3750 KVA; 12,470 Grd Y/7200-208 Grd Y/120 and 12.470 Grd Y/7200-480 Grd Y/277.
- Insulation class shall be 15 KV with a basic insulation level of 95 KV (BIL).
- Units must be filled with virgin 'PCB-Free <1-ppm' mineral oil dielectric fluid.
- Each unit shall have Bay-O-Net fuses, a load-break oil rotary switch rated at 200 amps, and various bushing configurations for high and low voltage connections.

Delivery requirements include specific shipping instructions to the designated address in Danville, VA.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award, with delivery of transformers anticipated by April 9, 2025.
