Remove Footing in Equestrian Indoor Arena

Background
The Fairfax County Park Authority is seeking bids for a project aimed at removing and replacing the footing in an Equestrian Indoor Arena. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Remove existing surface footing from the indoor arena (110’ x 215’) and warm-up ring (75’ x 149’) and stockpile it onsite.

2. Grade up the existing base material.

3. Receive and install a 5-6 inch stone dust base material, which includes watering, grading, rolling, and compacting.

4. Respread sand over the newly installed base.

5. Install a footing additive along with magnesium chloride to enhance performance.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified timeframe that will be detailed in the final agreement. It is typically expected to be completed within a few months from the start date.
