Perform HVAC Air Duct Cleaning at Central Virginia Correctional Unit #13

Background
The Virginia Department of Corrections is issuing this solicitation for HVAC air duct cleaning services at the Central Virginia Correctional Unit #13, located in Chesterfield, VA. The agency's mission includes maintaining safe and healthy environments within correctional facilities. This contract aims to ensure that the HVAC systems are properly cleaned and disinfected to support this mission.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for cleaning all HVAC systems in the main compound of Central Virginia Correctional Unit #13. This includes ducts located in the basement, first floor, and on the roof. Specific tasks include:

- Cleaning all components of the HVAC system including fan blower and housing, supply registers, return registers, supply ducts, return ducts, condensate drain pan, drain pail, and access door panels.

- Removing all supply and return register vents for cleaning and disinfection.

- Fogging and disinfecting units using a natural antimicrobial disinfectant.

- Protecting flooring and work areas during cleaning.

- Replacing all filters after cleaning.

- If necessary due to long runs of ductwork, cutting access panels to facilitate cleaning and installing new access panels as needed.

- Providing before and after photos of the cleaning process.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as determined by the contractor's proposal and schedule agreed upon with the agency.

All work will be performed at Central Virginia Correctional Unit #13 located at 6900 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
