Pedestrian Bridge Connecting Performing Arts Building and Music Theater Building

Background
George Mason University is seeking construction services for the replacement of an existing masonry pedestrian bridge that connects the Performing Arts Building (PAB) and the Music Theater Building (MTB) on its Fairfax, Virginia campus.

The goal of this contract is to provide a new elevated and covered pedestrian bridge, ensuring improved accessibility and safety for students and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete construction services necessary to replace the existing masonry pedestrian bridge. This includes all associated building components that will be replaced with a new elevated and covered structure.

The work must adhere to all specifications outlined in the project manual and drawings provided in the bid package. Site visits are mandatory prior to bidding, and contractors must ascertain local conditions affecting the project.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence following the award date of January 31, 2025, with substantial completion required by October 6, 2025. Final completion is due thirty (30) calendar days after substantial completion.

The contract will be performed at George Mason University's Fairfax Campus located in Virginia.
