Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Transportation (VDOT), is issuing a contract for the Decel Lane Extension project. This project aims to extend a deceleration lane on Route 81, enhancing traffic flow and safety in the area.

- Installation of 15" Storm Sewer Pipe: 72 linear feet
- Drop Inlet DI-10H Type I: 1 each
- Regular Excavation: 2,743 cubic yards
- Asphalt Concrete Type SM-12.5E: 1,867 tons
- Guardrail installation including various types and lengths.

The completion date for all work is set for October 24, 2025.
