Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health is seeking to establish a term contract for janitorial services at the Franklin County Health Department located at 365 Pell Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia. The goal is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the health department's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, and equipment necessary to clean the facility five days a week (Monday through Friday) from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The building covers an area of 7,200 square feet. Specific tasks include:

- Daily removal of trash
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in lobby areas
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuuming carpeted areas
- Cleaning restroom facilities including toilets and sinks
- Checking and replenishing supplies such as soap and paper products
- Cleaning employee breakroom/kitchen areas
- Maintaining janitorial supplies in an organized manner.

Additional tasks include vacuuming fabric chairs, cleaning windows, shampooing carpets, and buffing tile floors on a weekly, monthly, and semi-annual basis. The contractor must ensure that all employees are trained on the scope of work and maintain a cleaning schedule checklist.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 with the possibility of renewal for four additional years.

All services will be performed at the Franklin County Health Department located at 365 Pell Avenue, Rocky Mount, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must operate within a 30-mile radius of the health department. A mandatory site visit is required prior to submitting a bid. Bidders must submit their responses electronically via the Commonwealth of Virginia’s eProcurement Portal eVA. A valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) must be provided before commencing work. Additionally, contractors must sign a privacy agreement to maintain confidentiality.
