Janitorial Cleaning Services - DARS Petersburg Office

Background
The Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) is seeking to establish a term contract with one qualified vendor to provide janitorial cleaning services at its Petersburg office located at 2795 S. Crater Road, Suite 1, Petersburg, VA 23805. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the agency's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services two days a week, specifically on Wednesdays and Fridays after 5 PM EST. The office building has approximately 3,600 square feet, which includes 10 offices, a reception area, a computer room, a conference room, 3 restrooms, and a kitchenette. The services include:

- Dusting all surfaces without scattering dust.
- Ensuring floors are free from dust or dirt streaks and cleaning under furniture and fixtures.
- Cleaning restroom facilities to ensure sinks, toilets, and urinals are free of stains and residue.
- Wiping down the kitchenette surfaces including the sink and refrigerator.
- Removing trash from waste baskets and designated trash receptacles.
- Providing all necessary cleaning products and equipment while maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used.
- General cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, cleaning glass surfaces to be streak-free, and maintaining cleanliness in restrooms with regular replenishment of supplies like toilet tissue and paper towels.

Period of Performance
The initial period of the contract will commence upon the date of award for one year, with four optional one-year renewal periods available.

The contract will be performed at the DARS Petersburg Office located at 2795 S. Crater Road, Suite 1, Petersburg, VA 23805.
