ITB 25-28TM Fort Monroe Training Facility

Background
The City of Hampton is seeking bids from qualified bidders for the construction of the Fort Monroe Training Facility. This project aims to enhance training capabilities and support the mission of the City in providing quality facilities for its community and services.

Work Details
The contract involves the construction of the Fort Monroe Training Facility, including all work as specified in the Plans and Specifications. Bidders must provide a lump sum price for all work with two options:

- Option A: Notice to proceed on January 6, 2025, with substantial completion by March 6, 2026.
- Option B: Substantial completion by November 30, 2025.

Unit prices are required for modifications to the contract based on excavation and backfill needs, variations in pile lengths, and additional piles. An allowance of $10,000 is included for unforeseen building envelope remediation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence with a notice to proceed on January 6, 2025, and is expected to reach substantial completion by either March 6, 2026 (Option A) or November 30, 2025 (Option B).

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at Fort Monroe located at 102 Griffith Street, Hampton VA 23651.
