IQ 25-013-CC HVAC Replacement Units (Courthouse & Social Services)

Background
The County of Gloucester is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of HVAC systems at two locations: the Courthouse Building and the Social Services Building. The goal is to ensure efficient heating and cooling systems are in place to support the operations of these facilities. The work will be conducted during normal business hours, with care taken to avoid disruptions to court proceedings.

Work Details
1. Replacement of two HVAC systems:
- Courthouse Building (Suite 102): Replace existing 4-ton heat pump with a new 4-ton split system unit. If using Carrier brand units, reconnection to the existing energy management system is required. For non-Carrier units, a Honeywell thermostat model # RTH9580WF01 or an approved equivalent must be installed.
- Social Services Building: Replace a 3-ton split system heat pump, including a 3-phase fused disconnect and a 15 KW heater kit. The thermostat must also be replaced with a Honeywell model # RTH9580WF01 or an approved equivalent.

2. Contractor responsibilities include:
- Providing all labor, materials, equipment, expertise, and supervision for the replacements.
- Conducting all necessary permitting.
- Starting up systems and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Instructing facility staff on equipment use.
- Supplying one year’s worth of air filters for both units.

3. Warranty terms: 5 years on compressors and air handlers; 1 year on all other parts and labor.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence upon issuance of the county Purchase Order serving as Notice to Proceed and must be completed within twenty-five (25) calendar days from receipt of this notice.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at two locations in Gloucester, VA: 7400 Justice Drive (Courthouse) and 6641 Short Lane (Social Services).
