Background
The Northumberland County Courthouse in Heathsville, Virginia, is seeking bids for a roof replacement project. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roof with new materials while ensuring that all work is coordinated with the court schedule to minimize disruption.

Work Details
The project involves the tear-off of approximately 25,700 square feet of existing roofing material and the installation of new Lifetime Architectural Shingles, along with a small area covered by a 90-mil fully adhered EPDM roofing system. Specific tasks include:
- Removal of all existing roof components as indicated on the plans.
- Replacement of any damaged FRT plywood decking material (960 square feet or 30 sheets of 4'x8' plywood).
- Installation of self-adhered rubberized asphalt membrane and shingles with a lifetime warranty and high wind nailing requirements.
- Installation of two rows of snow guards around the perimeter of all shingle roof sections.
- Complete removal and installation of a new flexible sheet membrane (fully adhered) WHITE EPDM roof system for Roof Section C, including new cover board insulation, flashing, and other necessary accessories for a watertight system.
- New aluminum eave and gable drip edges, gutters, downspouts, and flashing as specified.

Period of Performance
Substantial completion is expected within 60 days from the start date, adjusted for lead time on building materials. Final completion is required within an additional 30 days.
