IFB No. 025-003 PRTC Custodial and Janitorial Services

Background
The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) is a multimodal, multijurisdictional agency located in Prince William County, Virginia, providing local and commuter bus services. PRTC seeks a qualified company to provide custodial and janitorial services at its two facilities: the PRTC Transit Center in Woodbridge, Virginia, and the PRTC Western Maintenance Facility in Manassas, Virginia. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at these facilities, which are frequently used for meetings by various organizations including state and local officials.

Work Details
The contractor will provide custodial and janitorial services including but not limited to:
- Nightly cleaning services from Monday to Friday after 5:00 PM until 2:00 AM.
- Cleaning of facility interiors including walls, doors, light switches, surfaces, waste containers, carpets (vacuuming), and uncarpeted areas (dust mopping).
- Restroom maintenance including trash removal, surface cleaning with disinfectants, and restocking supplies.
- Breakroom cleaning including appliance maintenance and surface disinfection.
- Exterior cleaning of grounds including trash removal from walkways and bus shelter areas.
- Weekly services such as window cleaning and floor buffing.
- Monthly services like power scrubbing tile floors and checking restroom deodorizers.
- Quarterly dusting of high vertical areas and window blinds.
- Bi-annual deep cleaning of tile flooring and shampooing carpets.
- Day Porter services at the Transit Center during business hours for maintaining common areas.
- Emergency custodial services for spills or other urgent clean-up needs.

Period of Performance
The contract will begin upon execution for one base year with four optional one-year extensions.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at two locations:
1. PRTC Transit Center located at 14700 Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192.
2. PRTC Western Maintenance Facility located at 7850 Doane Drive, Manassas, Virginia 20109.
