IFB 24-25-092 Dan Daniels Park Roof Replacements

Background
The City of Danville, Virginia, is seeking a Virginia-licensed contractor to replace shingle roofs for various Parks and Recreation facilities located at Dan Daniels Park. The goal of this contract is to ensure the timely and professional completion of roof replacements to maintain the integrity and safety of these public facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, permits, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the roof replacement for the following structures:

- Shelter #17 (approximately 2600 square feet)
- Maintenance shop (approximately 2500 square feet)
- Softball field concessions (approximately 1500 square feet)
- Shelter #11 (approximately 500 square feet).

Specific tasks include:
1) Remove and dispose of existing shingles and material down to the roof deck;
2) Re-nail any loose wood;
3) Install ice and water barrier on roof deck;
4) Install new flashing;
5) Install Dimensional Shingles with a minimum 25-year warranty;
6) Install Hip & Ridge Shingles.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Dan Daniels Park, located at 302 River Park Drive, Danville, VA 24541.
