IFB#159467 Elevator Maintenance & Repair Services

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking bids from qualified Virginia licensed Class A contractors with an Elevator/Escalator specialty.

The goal of this contract is to provide full-service preventive maintenance and repair services for six elevators owned by VDOT, located at the Salem District Complex and the Traffic Operations Center in Salem, VA.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for full-service preventive maintenance and repair services for the following six elevators:

1) Elevator at VDOT Salem District Complex, 731 Harrison Ave., Salem, VA 24153;
2) Elevator at Traffic Operations Center, 1596 Deborah Lane, Salem, VA 24153.

Services include routine inspections, emergency repairs, and any necessary part replacements. Contractors must work with the Contract Administrator if parts are obsolete due to the age of the elevators.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to continue for a duration specified in the final agreement. Services will be required as needed throughout this period.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at two locations:

1) 731 Harrison Ave., Salem, VA 24153 (VDOT Salem District Complex);
2) 1596 Deborah Lane, Salem, VA 24153 (Traffic Operations Center).
