IFB 159424 - Precast Concrete Bridge Slabs

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide precast concrete bridge slabs.
The agency's mission is to ensure the safe and efficient movement of people and goods across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
This contract aims to furnish and deliver specific precast concrete components necessary for the construction of a bridge over Campbells Creek in Hanover County, Virginia.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and delivering six (6) precast concrete bridge slabs equipped with a Kansas Corral Railing System.
The specifications for the bridge include a total length of 38 feet, a width of 28 feet 4 inches, and a skew angle of 17 degrees.
The project also requires the installation of a 27-inch Kansas Corral railing system as detailed in the attached plans.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to align with the delivery schedule, with bids due on January 24, 2025.
A prebid conference will be held on January 13, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at Route 656 over Campbells Creek in Hanover County, Virginia.
