HVAC Repair at Jones and Cabacoy - Immediate Need

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Veterans Services, is seeking immediate repairs to the HVAC system at the Jones and Cabacoy Veterans Care Center. The center's mission is to provide care for veterans, and the current HVAC system is not functioning correctly, necessitating urgent repairs.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for repairing various HVAC equipment at the center, including:
- LG Multi V5 (VRF) – Quantity 16
- LG Smart Inverter – Quantity 6
- Captive Aire System – Quantity 1
- Armor Condensing Water Heater Model 801 – Quantity 3
- Bally Condensing Unit – Quantity 1
- AAON Unit – Quantity 6
- AAON D.O.A.S. Unit – Quantity 4
- Terminal Boxes – Quantity 10
- Solarnetix Inc – Quantity 1.
Specific issues identified include:
1. The unit over Therapy and Patriot Hall (1A) is down.
2. The unit over 2C will not turn on.
3. The unit over Laundry and Kitchen (RTU-2) will not run in cooling.
4. The unit in Area 1B is underperforming.
5. Two condensate pumps in the ceiling are not operating.
All work must comply with federal, state, and local codes, as well as industry standards.

Period of Performance
The contractor must be available to perform a site visit within two days of award, with work commencing no later than May 5, 2025.

Jones and Cabacoy Veterans Care Center, located at 2641 Nimmo Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a current Class A contractor’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia and provide evidence of qualifications including training certifications and business references. Subcontracting is not allowed to meet personnel requirements which include having qualified refrigerant mechanics with factory-certified training on centrifugal chillers from Trane and a minimum of five years of experience.
