Furnish & Install Window Coverings (Blinds) at HWDMC

Background
Hiram W. Davis Medical Center is an Acute/Skilled Nursing Facility located in Petersburg, VA. The purpose of this contract is to furnish and install window coverings, specifically Cordless Manual Roller Shades, at the facility.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish and install Friedland Bros or approved equal Cordless Manual Roller Shades with Fascia, in blackout fabric series (Matte Blackout), in one standard color. All shades will be one color. The sizes and quantities required are as follows:

- 22"W x 72"L – Qty. 62
- 24"W x 72"L – Qty. 52
- 81"W x 70"L – Qty. 4

The contractor is responsible for unwrapping, inspecting, installing the shades, and removing all debris. Additionally, the contractor must remove and dispose of old blinds. All work must meet the agency's approval, with corrections required within ten days if standards are not met. The contractor must ensure that all tools and equipment are secured when unattended in patient areas.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed following the mandatory site visit on April 30, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must attend a mandatory site inspection on April 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. EST to be eligible to submit a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those who attend this inspection.
