Football Locker Room Patio Roof Replacement

Background
The Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) is seeking sealed bids for the Patio Roof Replacement Project at the Football Locker Room located in Blacksburg, VA. The goal of this project is to replace the existing roof system to ensure the facility remains functional and safe for its intended use.

Work Details
The project involves the removal of the existing roof system and the removal and storage of approximately 2,500 square feet of pavers. The contractor will install a new fully adhered EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) roof system, which includes new insulation, flashing, and other necessary accessories. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for reinstallation of the existing pavers along with all associated work required for this project.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will begin upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed within 30 days after that date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Football Locker Room located at 510 Callagan-Sheridan Way, Blacksburg, VA 24061.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA (Virginia's electronic procurement system). A Bid Bond is required for bids exceeding $500,000. Contractors must hold a valid Virginia Contractor license appropriate for the contract value: Class A for contracts over $120,000 or Class B for contracts between $10,000 and $120,000. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to submit a Small Business Procurement Plan detailing their proposed participation by small businesses.
