Executive Coaching Services

Background
The Virginia Department of Education is seeking to enhance the capabilities of its leadership staff through executive coaching services. The goal is to provide targeted coaching sessions for agency executive team members in specific areas identified by the Superintendent of Public Instruction. This initiative aims to support the agency's mission of improving educational outcomes and accountability within the state.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide bi-weekly, 30 to 60-minute, one-on-one executive coaching sessions for up to 3-5 senior level staff members over a term of up to six months. The coaching will focus on programmatic support in the following areas:

- Launching a new accountability system
- Building innovative assessments
- Creating support structures for turnaround schools

Throughout these sessions, the coach will assist in developing strategic personnel development, project management, and risk mitigation strategies. The coach will also share technical advice, provide strategic guidance on navigating politics and power dynamics within state government, help address difficult issues and decisions, serve as a sounding board for new ideas, and offer constructive feedback on strategy development and continuous improvement efforts.

Period of Performance
From date of award (estimated to be at the end of January 2025) through December 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Virginia Department of Education located at 101 North 14th Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219.
