Executive Coaching Services

Background
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is seeking to enhance the leadership capabilities of its executive staff through targeted executive coaching services. The goal is to provide agency leadership with the necessary support to improve their effectiveness in specific areas identified by the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide bi-weekly, 30 to 60-minute, one-on-one executive coaching sessions for a term of six months. These sessions will be tailored to the needs of individual executive team members and will focus on programmatic support in the following areas:

- Launching a new accountability system
- Building innovative assessments
- Creating support structures for turnaround schools

The coach will assist in developing strategic personnel development, project management, and risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, they will share technical advice, provide strategic guidance on navigating politics within state government, help address difficult issues, serve as a sounding board for new ideas, and offer constructive feedback on strategy development and continuous improvement efforts. The agency is expected to attend and participate fully in these sessions.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from July 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Virginia Department of Education located at 101 North 14th Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219.
