Clearbrook Park Asphalt Paving Project

Background
The County of Frederick, Virginia, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking a qualified contractor to perform asphalt paving work at Clearbrook Park. The goal of this project is to enhance recreational facilities by installing a new multi-use trail and repaving existing trails. This initiative supports the County's mission to provide quality parks and recreational opportunities for its residents.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Install asphalt paving of a 10' wide Multi-Use Trail:
- Remove vegetation from edges.
- Fine grade 1,650 square yards.
- Install 3” (compacted thickness) of IM-19.0 bituminous concrete over 1,650 square yards.

2. Repave existing trail across the dam:
- Remove 60 square yards of existing pavement.
- Mill tie-in joints over 40 linear feet (LF).
- Sweep 400 square yards.
- Fill existing cracks and joints with hot commercial crack fill material.
- Apply tack coat with CRS-2 liquid asphaltic oil over 400 square yards.
- Install 2” (compacted thickness) of SM-9.5AL bituminous concrete over 460 square yards.

Period of Performance
The work is to be completed by June 30, 2025.
