Bulldozer Transport Trucks

Background
The Virginia Department of Forestry is seeking a contractor to supply, assemble, and deliver six (6) trucks to transport bulldozers used in wildfire suppression efforts.
The goal of this contract is to enhance operational efficiency and safety during the loading and unloading of bulldozers.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish, assemble, and deliver the following items per the specifications provided:
1. Ledwell 26' HydraTILT Trucks with Guide Rails (brand name only, no substitutions) - Quantity: 6.
- Specifications include:
- Bed: Ledwell 26' HydraTILT Bed; 26' x 102" wide
- Headache Rack: Steel headache rack with LED strobe light bar
- Traction Material: Star Traction for wheel area
- Hydraulic Controls: Manual with Wireless Remote
- Capacity: 30,000 lbs
- Construction: All steel with hydraulic tilting deck
- Hitch Type: 2.5" Receiver Tube
- Winch: 20,000 lb hydraulic winch with cable & tail chain
2. Chassis: 2024 Peterbilt Model #567 or like equivalent - Quantity: 6.
- Specifications include:
- Wheelbase: 297”
- GVWR: 66,000 lbs
- Engine: Detroit DD13 Gen 5, 12.8L, 505 HP
- Transmission: DT12-1850-OV vocational automated manual transmission
- Additional features include various safety and performance enhancements such as ABS brakes, electronic stability control, and advanced engine management systems.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of the purchase order and will continue until April 21st, 2025.

Place of Performance
Delivery location is the Virginia Department of Forestry Headquarters Shop at 492 George Dean Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
