Bull Run Middle School Roof Replacement

Background
Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) is issuing this solicitation for the roof replacement project at Bull Run Middle School. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roof and perform all associated work necessary to complete the project, ensuring the school facilities are adequately protected and functional.

Work Details
The work includes the following:

1. Complete roof replacement at Bull Run Middle School, including all associated work as specified in the contract documents.

2. Replacement of 16 existing wall pack lights with Cooper Lumark WPSQLED or approved equivalent, each equipped with its own photocell.

3. Replacement of all existing primary and overflow drain bodies and supplemental drain leaders, including installation of stainless steel bird screens at overflow drains.

4. Disconnection and reconnection of 18 rooftop units (RTUs) to facilitate roof work, including one Trane/Residential style unit and two mini-split systems on roof section A.

5. Painting of exterior doors, windows above, and trim to match the new standing seam roof color; masonry surfaces will not require painting.

6. Removal of the entire existing lightning protection system as it is considered abandoned.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and is scheduled for completion by January 27, 2025.

The work will be performed at Bull Run Middle School located in Gainesville, Virginia.
