Background
Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was founded in 1773 and focuses on community-centered mental health care. The hospital spans approximately 500 acres and includes two patient care buildings, staffed by over 900 personnel caring for around 300 patients. It is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services system and is accredited by the Joint Commission. The hospital promotes a healthy environment and is tobacco-free.

Work Details
The contractor will provide monthly collection of used cooking oil (UCO) from the Eastern State Hospital kitchen for recycling. This includes:

- Providing approved collection containers (bulk bins or barrels equivalent to 55 US gallons) for UCO that is free from contaminants such as paper, plastic, glass, metal, trash, pesticides, and inorganic materials.
- Ensuring all collected oil is disposed of in a state-approved manner with evidence provided to the hospital.
- Containers must be emptied or swapped during each collection with minimal spillage. The contractor is responsible for cleaning any spillage during collection or transportation.
- The contractor must respond to missed pickups within the same or next day at no additional cost and accommodate unscheduled pickups at the contracted rate.
- Services are to be performed between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday, with one pickup anticipated per month.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will last for three years with two optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Eastern State Hospital located at 4601 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, Virginia.
