Background
Hanover County, Virginia, located in the Richmond Metropolitan Area, is seeking proposals for web design services to enhance its Economic Development website. The County encompasses 474 square miles and had a population of nearly 110,000 as per the 2020 Census. The Economic Development department provides vital services and information to local businesses and potential relocators. The current website is hosted by Liquid Web until July 2025.

Work Details
The Contractor will be responsible for designing, hosting, and maintaining a visually compelling and user-friendly website for Hanover County Economic Development. Key tasks include:

1. **Design and Implementation**: Collaborate with stakeholders for input, present proposed designs, provide revisions, conduct testing for design and functionality, and train staff on website management.

2. **Ongoing Support and Maintenance**: Offer support services for inquiries, provide updates, conduct testing, and monitor security.

3. **Website Hosting Services (optional)**: Consider fast, reliable, and secure hosting options.

4. **Website Requirements**: The site must be responsive across all major devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops), comply with ADA/508 standards, be compatible with major browsers (Edge, Firefox, Safari, Chrome), include search engine optimization features, integrate social media capabilities, have an events calendar feature, and support video/photo integration.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence from the award date through March 31, 2030. It is renewable based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily at Hanover County Economic Development's office located at 8200 Center Path Lane, Suite E, Mechanicsville, VA 23116.
