Background
Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is a large urban school division serving a diverse population of approximately 30,000 students. The division aims to ensure that all children achieve their highest potential. This contract is for the partial roof and HVAC replacement project at the Child Nutrition Services within the Bellmore Complex, addressing significant roof leaks and improving the facility's infrastructure.

Work Details
The project involves the removal and replacement of existing roofing and HVAC systems. Key tasks include:

1. Removal and replacement of all existing roofing system assembly.
2. Structural roof deck repair as indicated.
3. Installation of a new specified roofing system assembly using materials provided by the Owner, supplemented with additional materials as required for a complete warrantable roofing system.
4. Installation of metal wall panels at vertical masonry walls where indicated.
5. Installation of metal fabrications as indicated.
6. Removal and re-installation of HVAC equipment and related supporting utilities.
7. Installation of new HVAC equipment and related supporting utilities.
8. Removal and disposal of identified hazardous materials.
9. The project will be constructed under a single prime contractor, with subcontracting permitted under specific conditions.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of the Purchase Order or Notice to Proceed and will extend through December 2025. Substantial completion is required within 270 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Child Nutrition Services, located at 974 Bellmore Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23504.
