Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide vending services for locations within the NOVA District Office, specifically in the Fairfax Residency.
The goal of this contract is to offer high-quality, name-brand snacks and beverages to employees at competitive prices without any commission returning to VDOT.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish all necessary equipment, vending machines, licenses, permits, products, labor, supervision, transportation, fuel, and incidentals for ongoing vending machine services.
VDOT will provide space and electrical service but will not alter structures for machine placement.
The contractor must maintain compliance with all applicable laws and obtain necessary permits.
All profits from sales will be retained by the contractor, who must also provide a refund plan for any money taken by machines that do not dispense products.
Pricing must be fixed for the contract year with adjustments only during renewal periods.
Service calls are required at least once a week or more frequently during peak usage months.
A master list of national brand-name products must be provided by the bidder, including items like canned drinks (Coke, Pepsi), bottled water, candy, chips, and healthy snack options.
Machines must be stocked with products before expiration dates and a yearly sales statement detailing revenues by location is required.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for two years from the date of award with three optional one-year renewal periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Fairfax County including sites in Merrifield, Chantilly, Alexandria, Lorton, Reston, and Burke.
