Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking bids for graffiti removal services on structures located on primary and secondary roadways throughout the Fairfax and Loudoun Maintenance Area in Northern Virginia.

The contract aims to provide timely and effective removal of graffiti from VDOT assets, ensuring the maintenance of public infrastructure. The services will be requested on an on-call, as-needed basis, with a contract period of one year and four optional renewal periods.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, traffic control, and any incidentals necessary for graffiti removal on VDOT-owned structures such as sound walls, jersey walls, concrete medians, pavement, bridges, and other assets.

Specific methods for graffiti removal include:
1. Power blasting using approved abrasives;
2. Power washing with high-pressure water;
3. Spot painting to cover graffiti with matching paint;
4. Advanced paint remover application when necessary.

Each method will be measured and paid by the square foot of graffiti removed or covered. The contractor must ensure compliance with environmental protection standards during operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for one year from the date of award with four optional renewal periods.

Graffiti removal services will be performed in the Northern Virginia District specifically within the Fairfax and Loudoun Maintenance Area.
