159093 - Road Spoils/Fill Dirt Disposal - Loudoun

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide drop-off locations for Road Spoils and Fill Dirt disposal for VDOT's Northern Virginia District, specifically the Loudoun Residency.

The goal is to facilitate the disposal of uncontaminated dirt and concrete materials, which will be transported by VDOT or hired trucks. This contract may be utilized by any Loudoun Maintenance Area Headquarters.

Work Details
The contractor shall accept all uncontaminated dirt and loads may contain concrete; however, asphalt, trees, trash, and other contaminants will not be accepted.

The contractor's dump site must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws. The facilities must be located within 30 miles of the VDOT Loudoun Residency at 41 Lawson Rd. SE, Leesburg VA 20175.

Bidders must provide a list of their available drop-off facilities along with their addresses and any limitations regarding daily load or site restrictions in Attachment A. Each load received must be documented with a printed ticket indicating the truck number and date of disposal. The unit price per load must include all associated costs such as environmental fees and fuel; no additional charges will be permitted.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will last for one year, with the option for four additional one-year renewals.
