136_2024_2025 Latex Modified - Primary/Secondary

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through its Department of Transportation (VDOT), is issuing a contract for the 2025 Latex Modified project. This project involves maintenance and marking on various primary and secondary routes in Lee and Scott counties. The goal is to enhance road safety and visibility through proper pavement marking and treatment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:

1. Application of Latex Modified Emulsion Treatment (Type C) - approximately 14,198.57 tons.
2. Provision of flagger services - approximately 1,713 hours.
3. Eradication of linear pavement markings - approximately 352,022 linear feet.
4. Eradication of nonlinear pavement markings - approximately 684 square feet.
5. Temporary pavement marking type A (4 inches) - approximately 933,370 linear feet.
6. Temporary pavement marking type A (6 inches) - approximately 246,800 linear feet.
7. Temporary pavement marking type A (24 inches) - approximately 484 linear feet.
8. Installation of temporary school markings - approximately 8 units.
9. Maintenance of traffic as a lump sum item.
10. Installation of various types of permanent pavement markings including Type A and Type B Class I markings in different dimensions totaling over 600,000 linear feet.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by October 19, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at various locations within Lee and Scott counties in Virginia.
