Venture Academy Library Addition

Background
The Venture Academy Library Addition project involves the addition of approximately 2500 sq/ft open classroom space, a conference room, two offices, a book stack section, and a circulation desk onto an existing K8 building. The project is being managed by Venture Academy and the construction services are being procured through an Invitation for Bid (IFB) process.

Work Details
The scope of work for this project includes site work and the construction of a single-story, approximately 2,700 sq/ft addition to the existing K8 school facility. The addition will contain a classroom-sized open space, book stacking section, a circulation desk, a conference room, and a couple of offices.
The contractor is required to submit proof of appropriate licensing and insurance, a completed and signed bid form with construction cost breakdown, resumes for the proposed Project Manager and Superintendent for the project, and a proposed project schedule/timeline with key benchmarks.

Period of Performance
The Bid Post Date is February 27, 2024, and the Bid Due Date is March 15, 2024 at 12:00 noon. The Contract Award Date is at or before March 20, 2024. The Construction Start Date is projected to be April 20, 2024, with the Projected Substantial Completion Date set for August 15, 2024.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the existing K8 school facility managed by Venture Academy.
