Waste Disposal Services for San Antonio State Hosp

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers IFBs for HHS. HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for Waste Disposal Services for San Antonio State Hospital (SASH) Building 817, only. Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB.

Work Details
The required services to be provided are the removal of non-hazardous solid waste (refuse) from containers on the San Antonio State Hospital (SASH) Building 817. The contractor shall provide requested services and supply all necessary vehicles, equipment, and containers for the collection, transportation, and processing of refuse.
The services include scheduled and as-requested services, collection, transportation, and disposal of all non-hazardous solid waste materials.
The contractor shall also repair or replace containers that become broken or damaged through normal wear and tear.
Additionally, the contractor must maintain an office in the San Antonio Metro Plex.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall perform contracted services Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time.
Any services performed outside of regular business hours must be requested and/or approved in writing by the HHS Agency Contract Manager.

Place of Performance
The service location is at San Antonio State Hospital (SASH) Building 817, located at 6711 S. New Braunfels, San Antonio TX 78223.
