Third Party Administration Services for Workers Compensation

Background
The City of Waco, located in Central Texas between Dallas and Austin, employs approximately 1,700 full-time employees and 100 part-time and seasonal employees.

The City is seeking proposals for Third Party Administration Services for its self-funded Workers’ Compensation Program, currently administered by AS&G Claims Administration Inc. The program has a Self-Insured Retention of $750,000 for non-civil service and $900,000 for civil service. The goal is to implement these services starting October 1, 2025.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide professional claims administration and risk management services for existing and future workers’ compensation claims.

Proposals should preferably include flat fixed annual rates with four (4) one-year renewals at flat fixed rates. The vendor must allow claim information to be entered into the database by the City and provide detailed information for each new claim as well as support in investigating claims. The City reserves the right to request changes in TPA staff if performance is unsatisfactory.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on October 1, 2025, in increments of 12 months renewable annually on October 1st.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in Waco, Texas.
