Stevenson Unit - Install HVAC - Inmate Housing

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking proposals for the installation of a new HVAC system with emergency power connection in the Inmate Housing at the Stevenson Unit located in Cuero, Texas. This project aims to enhance the living conditions within the facility and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing a complete HVAC system that includes all necessary components to ensure proper heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the inmate housing units. The project includes:
- Installation of HVAC units connected to emergency power.
- Compliance with specifications and drawings provided in the solicitation documents.
- Submission of a Lump Sum Cost Proposal estimated at $9,919,900.00, which must include detailed breakdowns for materials, labor, overhead, and profit.
- Use of recycled materials where applicable as per TDCJ requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is set for 731 days, commencing upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Mobilization must begin within 30 days of receipt of this notice, with actual work starting within 45 days.
